〜〜 rurutia's liner notes 〜〜

for mini-album "Opus":

以前からずっとオリジナルフルアルバムとは別に
今までリリースしてきた曲のバラードバージョンを作ってみたいと思っていました。
今回はそれが叶って、マキシシングルの変わりにミニアルバムという形で、
新曲とバラードバージョンを入れた作品をリリースすることができたので、
とても嬉しく思っています。
タイトル曲の「Opus」は「霧で覆われた町に立ち並ぶ街灯の灯火」
のような叙情的、幻想的な「ヨーロッパ的な哀愁」の世界観をイメージしました。
曲作りのとき、Aメロからサビまで一気にメロディと歌詞が
口をついて出てきたのを覚えています。
冒頭のコーラスとストリングスとのバランス、
色彩感にもこだわったので、自分でもとても気に入っている
イントロになりました。
これからもこういった形で、オリジナル曲と過去の作品のバラードバージョンとを
収録したミニアルバムを沢山リリースしていきたいと思っています。

I've always wanted to create ballad versions of songs I've released so far,
separate from my original full-length albums.

With this that wish came true, in the form of a mini-album instead of maxi-singles,
and I was very happy to combine new songs with ballad versions for release.

For the title "Opus", it evoked the lyricism of
"the glow of streetlamps lining a fog-shrouded town"
and the fairylike setting of a "European pathos".

I remember that when I was creating the song,
from the main melody of the chorus the rest of the melody
and the lyrics just came flowing out of mouth.

I paid particular attention to the balance and colour of the opening chorus and strings,
and it became an intro I really like myself.
I'd like to continue making many mini-albums like this,
combining new work with ballad versions.
