✧ History of the Water Forest Shrine ✧
since Summer 2025
rurutia has been my favourite musician since childhood.
immersing myself in her entire body of work is a way to connect back to my heart,
which her lyrics have always watched over with care.
when I was young, I didn't understand,
so I would use big jpop translation sites for help.
that was a part of the experience back then.
but when I sought such in archives for the nostalgia,
I realised what I had once pored over contained mistakes,
and lacked the delicacy of rurutia's voice as I understand it now.
I'm still grateful for what helped me love her music,
but there are also obscure things I never saw translated,
so I decided I would dedicate time to my very own shrine
named after my favourite album, returned back with care,
as a little treasure for myself.
I'll always be revising my translation choices as best I can,
but I'm still unsteady with html,
and this site is just a simple place to store text,
so right now it's 'content' over 'style'.
